We’re so excited to share April + Matt’s Tennessee wedding with you all today! It is so chock full of amazing DIY details and wedding ideas, we could barely fit them all in! First things first, a little about A + M. They met at a group event playing lazer tag (I mean, don’t you just love them already?!), which ended with a one-on-one ice cream date and a phone number swap. Matt called her the very next day for a date, and they’ve been together ever since. A + M both value family and love the character and history in old things, so they really wanted their wedding to have a vintage theme, with a focus on family heirlooms. They were thrilled to get to hold the ceremony and reception in old, historical buildings (the Owens Chapel Church of Christ and the Cool Springs House in Brentwood, TN), which they filled with tons of DIY details and vintage family treasures! For example, A + M spent the year before the wedding collecting vintage dishes and silverware to eat off during the reception and use throughout the decor – lovelovelove! Not to mention the fact that April made all the bunting used at the reception, the guestbook filled with vintage postcards, and just about everything else you’ll see in the beautiful photos below. 🙂 One of our favorite details from A + M’s wedding were the non-traditional favors. Due to their mutual love of all things antique, A + M decided to pass out vintage hankies to all their guests – a significant detail for them as it was the first gift April ever gave Matt! We seriously have the most creative & talented brides…we just can’t get over it! We sent our sweet and wonderful Nashville photographer Leslie to capture it all, and she did SUCH an incredible job! A + M, you two are absolutely amazing and we are so thrilled to have been a part of your beautiful, beautiful day. xoxo!
