“We decided to start dating while on a ski trip in Colorado. Dustin actually asked me out a year earlier, but I didn’t realize he was asking me out and told him I needed to train for a triathlon before I dated anyone. I still haven’t completed one. Apparently, it took a trip to a different state, two concussions (Dustin’s), and a really cool brewery to convince me. I just walked up to him and said I think we should go on a date.
The next day back in Atlanta, we went on a date and decided to be exclusive. About a month later, I wrote in my journal that I had decided to marry Dustin.
A little over two years later, Dustin asked me to marry him by the river he grew up on. Through tears, giddiness, and two random black labs showing up, I said yes.
We love Georgia Tech, good food, and local breweries, but we really love our friends and families. It is that love and loyalty that drew us together. Being able to watch each other love and be loved by those around us so well is truly the greatest blessing and the best part about being engaged.
We are immeasurably excited to be able to be able to call each other family in a few short months and to join together the people we love most.”
Congratulations, Alli + Dustin! xoxo, The OLAS Team
