Alyssa + Bobby met at work where they are both 8th grade teachers. What started as a friendly work relationship slowly bloomed into a romance that these two could not deny! They have been together for almost two years now and they cannot wait to start the rest of their lives together, because they are ENGAGED!!
Their engagement shoot around Athens was a blast to shoot! We always love it when couples are able to be silly in front of the camera! We had the opportunity to talk to Alyssa after their shoot to ask her more about their relationship and future plans….
Q: Is there a moment in your dating history that stands out above the rest?
A: “If I had to pick the one best moment, I’d have to say it was when I was standing in the Royal Palace Room in Edinburgh Castle in Scotland, and I turned around to see Bobby, who I thought was still across the ocean in Georgia, walking towards me. He then got down on one knee and proposed to me in front of 15 of my family members who all met my parents, brother, and I there for what I thought was simply a family vacation. However, every moment has been fabulous really. The thing I really love is how much fun we have together. We are always joking and teasing the other person and always laughing. Our adventures too. Those are always fun. And while some may have been scary/jolting/crazy in the moment, they give us something to look back on and laugh about.”
Q: What did you love most about your engagement shoot? Your photographer?
A: “The thing I loved most about our engagement shoot was how much fun we had. Greta just let us do our thing and play off of each other and I think that will show through. Greta was fabulous too and we really look forward to working with her more! We all connected so well.”
Q: What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
A: “Getting married to the man of my dreams and have fun in the process! All while surrounded by our closest family and friends.”
Q: Any tips for other engaged brides who are hiring their vendors or starting the planning process?
A: “Start early and go tour any vendors/conduct those interviews whenever you have downtime! Use your time wisely! At the same time, enjoy it, appreciate the process, and give your a partner a say in everything! Lastly, always trust your gut!”
Congratulations Alyssa + Bobby!! xoxo, The OLAS Team
