“Sam and I met on Bumble even though it seems like we’d probably crossed paths a hundred times before. We both grew up in Peachtree City, went to McIntosh High School, had classes together at Georgia Tech, and lived on the East side of Atlanta before we actually met.
Our first date was September 15th, where we met for coffee, and as soon as the shop closed, continued our date with drinks. We planned our next date shortly after our first one, and pretty soon, we just began our dates by asking when the other was free next.
A couple months into dating, I suggested we hike up Stone Mountain for the afternoon and just enjoy the unusually warm November weather. We spent hours at the top just talking until dusk, and that’s when I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Sam. A year or so later, Sam suggested we hike around the lake at Stone Mountain, and there, Sam got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him. It was truly magical to be at the place where I first realized that Sam was the one and then committing to spend the rest of our lives loving each other.” -Emily
