Atlanta Engagement Session at Krog Street Market & the Beltline :: Alexis + Brandon :: with Shain

“Brandon and I have known each other for around 10 years. We met in college through my childhood friends. While I was at school UGA, I would visit my friends at GA Tech and spend time at their fraternity. Brandon was the one cute fraternity brother that I always managed to spend time chatting with during my Atlanta weekends. After college I moved to the US Virgin Islands, followed by Vail, Colorado. Every time I came back to visit, I made it a priority to visit with friends- more times than not, Brandon was with the crew. Brandon was always easy to talk to, so we naturally connected through common interests- fitness, sports, and enjoying our time with friends. When I moved back to Atlanta, Brandon was in my social network on a regular basis. I totally missed that he tried to ask me out the first time around. We finally connected at a buddy’s housewarming party where he asked me to join a group for bowling. After flirting all day, we broke off from the crowd to check out a street concert and danced for a few hours. When we finally met up with our friends, we got called out immediately- my childhood friend/Brandon’s frat brother yelled, “I knew it!” We did, too. Over the last 3 years, we have bonded by running a race a month (leading up to a half marathon), weekend trips (for races, weddings, beaches, family visits) cooking, hanging out with our pup Avery, binge-watching everything from Game of Thrones to Westworld and event the Bachelor, and becoming best friends along the way. Our March engagement in Beaver Creek, CO was a complete surprise and a story all in itself! We are so excited and will happily share any details that I missed. :)”
