Lisa + Chris’s Dahlonega, GA wedding at Blue Mountain Vineyards was pure joy! We could say a hundred things about how much we loved this couple and their day but, sometimes, it’s just best to hear it straight from the source. We caught up with Lisa a few weeks after her wedding and asked her a few questions. Here’s what she had to say…

If you could sum up your wedding day in one word, what would it be?

PERFECT! It was equal parts surreal, romantic, dreamy and beautiful. I wish I could relive the day over and over again. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting…and of course the perfect man.

What’s the one moment you remember, above all, about your wedding day? What made it feel so special/memorable?

Our first look was incredibly intimate. I fall asleep at night thinking about my husband’s face when he first saw me. I’ve never felt more loved, and I’ve never felt more love for another person.

Did you include any heirlooms or special items in your wedding day? What made you decide to include it/them?

My father passed away in 2009, and my engagement ring is set with the diamond he used to propose to my mother. It’s comforting to look down at my ring. I know that even though he couldn’t be there physically, he will always be a part of me.

What did it feel like to be dressed for your wedding and see yourself, for the first time, before the ceremony?

Oh my gosh! Just surreal! I felt so silly, but I couldn’t stop looking at myself. Like, “Is that really me?! I can’t believe this is happening!” It was an unforgettable moment.

What did it feel like to see your future spouse for the first time on your wedding day?

Magical. I never before wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. All of this planning and stressing led to this beautiful moment where it was just me and him…and that’s really all that mattered. I won’t remember the playlist or what time we sat down to eat, but I’ll always remember how much love I felt for him at that moment.

What did you love most about your photographer?

Greta is amazing! She’s funny, talented, and helped us feel at ease with her — like an old friend. During dinner and dancing, she blended in with the crowd so seamlessly. Everyone remarked how impressed they were with her!
