Boston Engagement Shoot :: Salim + Mary :: with Caroline

We’re SO excited for Salim + Mary’s wedding this September. Fall seems so far away but we know it’ll be here in the blink of an eye. We met up with these two and captured some engagement shots of them all over the city and, dang, they make Boston look GOOD!! We asked Salim to tell us a little bit more about how they met (we love that his mom is responsible for their introduction!) and their planning process…

How did you and your partner meet? How long have you been together?

Mary and I met at the wedding of my cousin Cris and his wonderful wife, Anna, in New York City. We hit it off right away and spent the whole night talking and dancing. We’ve been together now for close to 3 years!

The only part I’ve left out is that my mother introduced us. Thank you, Mom! We owe you one.

How do you most love to spend your time together?

Mary and I love nothing more than to surround ourselves with our circle of friends and family. We are lucky to have a growing number of nieces and nephews, and it’s a blast watching them grow up.

How are you staying connected during the wedding planning process?

We’re both in the medical field experiencing the most grueling portions of our training, so there hasn’t been much rhyme or reason to our approach to planning. What I can say is that so far it’s been a team effort. Unfortunately, we’re starting to get into the flowers and centerpieces aspect of the discussion, which is where I’ll probably take a few, well-calculated steps back.
