Rebecca + Oliver met on a dating site when Olivier was intrigued by Rebecca’s sense of adventure and love for travel. They initially bonded over this connection and soon began dating pretty seriously. They have shared many special memories together and are so happy that they get to spend the rest of their lives together!
They held their wedding celebration at MyMoon, a reclaimed industrial space in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This venue projects the ease of sophisticated urban celebration in a relaxed and stylish setting that was absolutely perfect for this wedding! We recently talked to Rebecca to hear about some of their favorite moments from this special day…
Q: Tell us about your wedding! How would you describe the overall vibe/feeling of your day? Anything special that you planned and couldn’t wait to see come together?
A: “Overall, it was a beautiful blur. We were beyond touched that so many friends and family came from so far to celebrate with us: from the West Coast to Cairo and Scotland to Sao Paolo! It was very important to us that everyone get to know each other as much as possible. I spent a LOT of time on the seating chart, which really mixed everyone up. It was the best feeling when people came up to me and told me how much fun they had meeting the people around them at dinner!”
Q: Is there a moment that stands out above the rest, now that you’ve been married for a few weeks?
A: “It didn’t really all hit me until the next morning. We were sitting outside on the terrace of our AirBnB having our morning coffee, and I got very weepy and overwhelmed with how wonderful that day had been with all of our closest friends and family.”
Q:What does it feel like to finally be married?
A: “Fortunately, we are just as happy after the wedding as we were before the wedding! We were already living together and raising a dog and a cat. The wedding was our celebration of the decision to continue doing that together forever.”
