Karissa + Anthony met at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. While they knew each other throughout college (because it is such a small school) they did not start hanging out together until their Senior year when they were neighbors! One fun fact about this school is that it has an oddly high marriage rate, apparently Saint Anselm is a great place to meet your future spouse and this has held true for Karissa + Anthony!
Their engagement session around Charles River Esplanade was absolutely beautiful and their photos truly capture the love that these two share for each other…. and their adorable pup! We talked to Karissa and Anthony after the shoot to hear more about their engagement and wedding plans…
Q: Is there a moment in your dating history that stands out above the rest?
A: “I cannot wait to be able to call Anthony my husband, but I am even more blessed to have been able to call him my friend. Anthony and I got to know each other in college and formed a friendship before we started dating. Once we became official, we had a really fun time dating each other. I have a love of travel and wanted to share that with Anthony, so shortly after we graduated college I went back packing through Europe and asked Anthony to meet me over there for our 1 year anniversary. He had never been on a plane before, but he agreed to come. He took his first flight solo to meet me in Italy. We had such an amazing time exploring Rome, Cinque Terre, and Venice. The best part is, Anthony planned our whole trip! It was amazing.”
Q: What did you love most about your engagement shoot? Your photographer?
A: “Anthony and I were a little nervous for our engagement shoot because we are not particularly photogenic (nothing some mimosas beforehand couldn’t fix). We had a tough time picking a spot for the shoot, especially with the head of the Charles happening that weekend– we knew we wanted somewhere in Boston because that’s where we started to build our life together. David recommended the perfect spot; North Point Park! He helped merge our love of the ocean, the beauty of fall, and the feel of Boston. Such a hidden gem! And we couldn’t have asked for better weather.”
Q: What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
A: “As a little girl, I did not dream about what my wedding would look like, what color scheme I would have, or where it would be. Instead, I thought about the man I would marry. I am so excited to walk down the aisle and marry Anthony. Family and friends are really important to both of us and we cannot wait to have the people we love celebrate with us. I am excited to have a weekend filled with all the people who have helped us get to this moment in our life and to be able to thank them for all support they have given us.”
Congratulations Karissa + Anthony!! xoxo, The OLAS Team
