“One thing that surprised us most was how smoothly and perfectly our day went. Almost everyone that gave us advice about the day warned us that not everything will go as perfect as planned, and to expect at least a couple hiccups throughout the day. We prepared ourselves for just that, but can honestly say we were so surprised how amazing everything went. We wouldn’t be able to say that without our amazing family, friends, and vendors that made Ben and I’s wedding a day that we will never forget.
“The only thing that we wish would have changed about our day was how quickly it went by. We wish more than anything we could live the entire day over and over again. There was just not enough time in the day for us to really soak in every moment.
“One thing that we are so glad that we included in our day is writing letters to each other to read before the ceremony. For those who know Ben and me well, you know that we both are not the most extroverted couple. We also both get very nervous talking in front of crowds so we decided to repeat traditional vows instead of writing our own. This way we just had to repeat after the officiant, so there was little room for error. Although our vows were sincere and we will honor those commitments for the rest of our lives, we will also be able to look back at our notes to each other and remember the thoughts, feelings, and love that we were feeling for years to come.
“It is the best feeling to finally be married. You forget throughout all the craziness of planning a wedding, what the actual outcome of all the hard work is, becoming husband and wife! From our honeymoon in the Bahamas to moving into a new apartment, married life has been amazing, and we are looking forward to all of the future adventures life has to offer together. One of my favorite quotes is, “Marriage is like having a sleepover with your best friend every night of the week”, because it is so true! It really is the best feeling coming home every day to your best friend and soulmate.”
Congratulations, Lindsey + Ben!! xoxo, The OLAS Team
