Dahlonega, GA Wedding at Frogtown Cellars :: Christy + Matt :: with Alex

“Matt and I had SO MUCH FUN at our wedding. The entire weekend was filled with family, friends, and love. We went on a hike Friday morning before the rehearsal dinner with a “small” group of 17 or 18; the hike takes you to the top of a mountain with a rock face that allows you to see for miles and miles over the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. What a way to start the weekend! Saturday, while my bridesmaids and I were getting ready, one of my brothers-in-law showed up with a bouquet of flowers – they were gorgeous. I remember thinking, “What a sweet gesture; my sister will be thrilled!” As it turns out, it was Matt who had sent ME flowers, via my brother-in-law! That’s the guy I married, always thoughtful, always caring. During the ceremony, our pastor and friend, John asked us to turn around and look at our family and friends, our support system, who had come to see us wed. It was such a beautiful moment, to stand there together, hand-in-hand, surrounded by the people who love us best. And then we were off to the dance floor for the reception! The band, The Orange Constant, is led by a good friend of ours, and they truly killed it! We twirled and shimmied until it was time to go, and then we escaped on the cutest little motorcycle and sidecar! It was definitely a crowd pleaser!

Since being married, we’ve explored northern California – wine country and the Redwoods – and had an absolute blast. Now, we are settling into a normal rhythm, and we are loving that, too. The cats and dogs are now sharing one roof, and they are starting to get along – thank goodness! We feel so lucky to be able to do life with one another, as best friends and as husband and wife” -Christy
