We are swooning today over these engagement photos captured by our incredibly talented Boston photographer, Richie, of the absolutely adorable Courtney and Jeff. Every single shot seems to be brimming with glowy light, luscious greenery, and so, so much love. Courtney and Jeff were married just a few weeks ago in early September, so we are sharing their beautiful engagement session while we eagerly await the moment we can share their gorgeous wedding photos, too. These two gorgeous lovebirds have a super cute, sweet “how we met” and proposal story, told by Courtney:
Jeff and I have been dating for almost six years. We actually went to the same high school, but were only acquaintances. During my sophomore year of college we randomly reconnected, and decided to get together, along with a group of friends, at a local bar. I can remember getting ready for that night out like it was yesterday . . . my friends kept calling it a “date”, but I denied it over and over saying we were just “friends”. . . I’m so happy I was wrong! By the end of the night I was feeling butterflies (the good kind), and he was asking to see me again. We have been inseparable ever since. We are truly best friends, and it is the most amazing feeling in the world! The past six years have been wonderful . . . filled with a lot of laughs, love, and, of course, our weekly pizza nights (Jeff is a pizza addict). One of our favorite things are our Sunday morning drives . . . we go and get coffee, and then go on a destination-less back road country drive. It sounds simple, but it is so nice to take an hour away from our hectic schedules and just be together!
Last November, Jeff told me that we were going out to celebrate his new job as a Middleboro police officer. He drove to Boston’s North End, and brought me to an extremely old and beautiful Italian restaurant named Mama Marias. The waiter brought us to the best table in the house that overlooked the oldest public square in America (I found out later that this table was where he was planning to propose), but in true Courtney fashion I thought the table was too close to the other guests and requested to be moved (oy vey). Jeff adapted to the situation (he’s good at that), and decided to hold off the proposal until after dinner. After the most delicious meal I’ve ever had and some amazing red wine, he walked me down to the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park and proposed. I was so surprised . . . and couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful night! =)
C + J, we love you guys and we can’t wait to share your wedding photos soon! xoxo
