Emily + Denise were married YESTERDAY (!!) at one of our all time favorite venues, McMenamin’s Edgefield in Portland, Oregon. We are celebrating E + D’s beautiful wedding today by sharing their amaaazing engagement session photos, captured by our husband/wife Portland dream team, Ashley + Kellen. We are positively swooning over this session, for so many reasons. First of all, how adorable is E + D’s son, Ari? That bow tie and that hat…cute overload!! Secondly, E + D know how to rock a good accessory themselves! E + D also did an excellent job of choosing complimentary, but not matchy-matchy, outfits. All of our OLAS clients receive a guide to the ever-present question, “what should I wear for my session?” In it, we provide some basic guidelines (choose complimentary, but not matching colors; go with subtle patterns; play it up with layers and accessories). But above all, we recommend that our clients let their personalities shine through their outfit choices….and E + D absolutely mastered this for their engagement session! Ashley and Kellen did a phenomenal job of capturing the love and joy between this beautiful couple, all against some incredible backdrops around Portland. Emily + Denise, we have loved getting to know the two of you (and Ari, too!), and it was such an honor to be a part of your beautiful wedding and celebration yesterday- we can’t wait to share the photos with you soon! xoxo
