The Wizard of Oz teaches us a lesson that so many in the Once Like a Spark family have found to be true: sometimes you have to leave home to find it. This was absolutely the case with Joey and Brandon – Brandon grew up in Smyrna, GA and Joey grew up in Wisconsin, but they traveled all the way to Hong Kong before they found each other. These two loved to hike all over the hills and mountains in Hong Kong together. Their very first date was a hike up to the Buddha on Lantau Island in Hong Kong, and as Joey says, Brandon suspiciously asked him to repeat the exact same hike one very special day in May….and (surprise!) proposed at a beautiful location overlooking the water. To this day, Brandon and Joey still keep up with their love for hiking and participate in adventure races and hikes all over the world as “Team Broey.” These two were married on April 20 at the beautiful Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and Tyler did a phenomenal job of capturing all of the love and joy that was so evident in every minute of their big day. Joey and Brandon chose a great, bold shade of blue and threaded it tastefully throughout the entire wedding – we love the simple and elegant floral decor with pops of the color, the touches of bold blue that make thoughtful appearances in the couple’s handkerchiefs, the bridal party’s scarves and shoes, and in the table decor. Most of all though, we are enamored with the love and happiness that is radiating throughout the wedding, and the way in which Tyler captured all of the beautiful emotion in such a gorgeous way.
