It’s not too often that we run into a bride and groom who first met because the bride’s mom introduced them, but that is exactly what happened with the precious Kristen + Chris!! Kristen says that Chris and her mom used to work together at Atlantic Southeast Airlines, and when Kristen went to see her mother for lunch one day, she was introduced to Chris, briefly. A few weeks, e-mails, phone calls, later, Chris + Kristen finally went out on a first date. According to Kristen, it felt very much like a blind date since they had only met each other once so briefly before! Four and half years later, they are hitched! In our eyes, their first date – which consisted of dinner, mini-golf, and a movie – was just like a little preview of their wedding, because both occasions were completely and totally classic, and classy, too! Our Southeast photographer phenom Paige captured their beautiful and elegant cream and blue wedding in her normal gorgeous way. Here’s our top 5 from Kristen + Chris’s wedding:
1. Alright, folks, it’s rainy season! Just like our other recent Editor’s Choice couples (Amanda + Charles and Allison + Daniel), Kristen + Chris didn’t let a little bit of rain get them down, at all! Despite what Alanis Morissette might want you to believe, rain on your wedding day REALLY isn’t such a bad thing. Paige still managed to capture some seriously stunning portraits of these two, and most importantly, Kristen + Chris didn’t let a little precipitation get in their way of one of the best days of their lives.
2.The flower girl!! Ummm, how cute is she being shy and covering her face as she walks down the aisle? Sooooo cute! If any brides out there are worried that their young flowergirls might not make it down the aisle without some kind of mishap or meltdown, fret not! The photos, like this one below, will be priceless!
3. YMCA. With costumes. Need we say more?
4. Tears of joy during the ceremony from family members. 🙂 We always love a good, happy cry over here at OLAS.
5. The glowsticks during the reception!! Can’t you just tell from looking at these photos how much fun everyone had? Love!
