Engagement Session :: Jessie + Brock :: with Nikki T.

“Brock and I first met during my sophomore year at Virginia Tech in 2014. He was neighbors with my best friend so it was only a matter of time before we met. My best friend, Morgan, actually introduced us. I was instantly attracted to him and I thought he was to me other than the fact that he was a little more quiet and shy back them. Once we hit it off though, that was that. Things moved so quickly and we haven’t looked back since! He followed me to Knoxville, TN (where we got our fur baby, Oakley!) while I attended graduate school, then to Iowa for my first big girl job, and then when we realized the Midwest wasn’t for us, we moved back to the east coast, Columbia, MD.

When Brock proposed, it was a complete shock. We were living in Iowa at the time and vacationing in Minneapolis, MN to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. Around sunset, when we were walking around a lake to go to another brewery (one of our favorite activities) he bent down. I kind of kept walking as I thought he was just tying his shoe when all of a sudden he starts saying “Jessie, I want to turn 4 years into forever…”, and the rest was history! No, but actually, I blacked out and can’t remember anything he said after that. I literally was at a loss for words because I was so surprised. I had no idea he was going to propose! It was amazing and somehow I managed to spill out “YES!”. We spent the rest of the night drinking and laughing and fantasizing about our married life together. It was a vacation I will never forget.

We do everything together; we are sincerely each others best friend. We can’t wait to walk down the isle together as husband and wife and start our married lives together!”
