At what point did you feel most the joyful on your wedding day :: I felt the most joyful when I saw all my friends from over the years all at my wedding! They all live in different parts of the country and the world, and all have busy work lives, but were able to make it out to celebrate with us. I felt so loved and so grateful to have such awesome friends!
What was your favorite detail from your wedding :: I loved our cake topper! I may be biased because I made it myself. The cake topper is the Chinese symbol for Double Happiness, which is a custom at any Chinese wedding. It symbolizes happiness, love, and good fortune in marriage.
Write a little note of thanks to anyone that helped make your day special :: I would like to thank my cousin Daniel and Ethan’s cousin Maggie, who jointly officiated our wedding. Daniel and Maggie did not meet each other until the day of our wedding, but they were able to create a beautiful ceremony that felt very personal to us. I knew our wedding ceremony wouldn’t be traditional (given that we already had a courthouse wedding, Ethan is half-Jewish, and I am Christian), but they made it work and were able to blend different traditions from our faiths into a cohesive ceremony that reflected our relationship.
Angela + Ethan, congrats!! We love you both so much. xoxo
