Describe how you felt right before you walked down the aisle :: Throughout the whole day everything was a blur. It took me until standing at the top of the stairs with everyone else already walking down the aisle for me to realize this was my wedding day. This was the day that I got to marry the love of my life and proclaim to friends and family that Corey was my one true love. Other than the nerves of walking down the stone staircase by myself in a massive dress, I think I was mostly excited to see Corey as you could tell from my very quick descent down the stairs and up the aisle to my soon to be husband.
One word that describes how you felt on your wedding day :: Blessed
Tell us something about your wedding we may not know :: I also walked down the aisle by myself to honor my grandfather. Growing up, he was the only father figure I had and I always planned for him to give me away on my wedding day. When my grandfather was diagnosed with ALS my senior year of high school, the first thing he said to my mom was “I guess I won’t be able to walk Cait down the aisle.” He passed later that year the day I moved into college. I met Corey a week after he passed and somehow I just know that it was divine intervention that Gramps brought Corey to me. After talking with my mom, we both decided that walking down the aisle alone was the best way for me to memorialize him.
Caitlin + Corey, we simply adore you both and are honored to have been a part of your sweet love story. Congrats! xoxo
