At what point did you feel the most joyful on your wedding day :: When we went on the bridge to do photos with Greta it was nice to get a break from the party but also be able to look back at everyone on the deck waving at us.
Favorite detail from your wedding :: We had a friend who is a poet come from New Orleans to join us for the weekend who asked our guests to tell him stories about us during the reception. At the end of the weekend he left us with a book of poems inspired by the stories and his observations. (Instagram:@Cubsthepoet)
Write a note of thanks to anyone that helped make your day special :: Special thanks to the parents of the bride, Alan and Shari Kaucher for funding the festivities – otherwise this thing would have been catered by Subway and been way less photogenic. And Shari especially for keeping her eyes on lots of little details during the reception so that we didn’t have to think about it and also putting together an amazing slideshow. My dad Alan did a really sweet toast which he had apparently been so nervous about, pacing the front yard practicing, studying Obama speeches for weeks. Rest easy guys and thank you so much! Also, cousin of the bride, Laura Jean was a major player in terms of research/emotional council from engagement leading up to the day of the wedding. She assembled the bouquet herself and it was PERFECT. Also she applied my blush and fed me a banana (which was meant for her toddler!) before the ceremony. Eternal gratitude for that one!
Faye + David, we are in love with every single photo. Sincerely, your wedding brings all the tears. Love y’all’s guts!! xoxo
