Tell us something interesting about your wedding  ::  The most memorable aspect of our wedding will be #HurricaneMatthew’s visit to our wedding site on Hilton Head Island exactly one week before our beach wedding! It hit HHI same day we were scheduled to fly out and our honeymoon site the previous day. Now, I had planned for rain, but not a hurricane. Instead of spending a few relaxing days on the beach before our guests arrived, we spent them frantically planning for a back up plan. Despite the chaos and unknowns, our wedding (and honeymoon) continued as close to originally planned as possible… minus some preceding beach therapy. The HHI locals were AMAZING to work with and I am still impressed with the HHI community. A very special thanks to the local vendors who went above and beyond the call of duty. These vendors were evacuated, homes lost power, trees through roofs and they still made our day happen with a genuine smile on their face: Todd Cowart (Reception Musician), Betsy Peterson (Officiant), The Salty Dog Cafe (Rehearsal Dinner), Bess Delicatessens (Caterer), Fifth Ave Salon (stylist Melissa Willis). On the bright side, we came away with the name of our first born boy.  #Matthew #HurricaneHatfield
