What was the most surprising thing about your wedding :: Being a high energy and nervous natured person, the most surprising thing about my wedding day was how calm and comfortable I felt. The day before I was pretty nervous about certain details and overwhelmed by having everyone I love all in one place. Once I woke up on Saturday, all the little things I was worried about seemed to disappear and I was ready for the day. From walking down the aisle to dancing with my bridesmaids on stage, I enjoyed every moment and didn’t have a care in the world. It might have helped that my twin sister and I went for a run Saturday morning to get out any jitters. I highly recommend that to any nervous brides!
Was there anything in particular that your guests really enjoyed :: I’ve heard the guests really enjoyed my dad’s welcome speech at the reception. He told the story about how I decided on Seven Oaks Farm for our venue. When I called to tell him how much I loved the farm he interrupted me and asked if I remembered the name of my late grandfather’s nursery. When I said I didn’t, he told me it was called Seven Oaks. He threw some of his dry humor into the story for his speech but I still always get goosebumps remembering the conversation. I loved how this small detail made the venue so personal and an undeniably perfect location.
Laura + Daniel, your wedding photos are so beautiful!! We love you both so much. xoxo
