Highlights :: Lauren + Javier’s Wedding at Empire State South in Atlanta, Ga :: with Greta

At what point did you feel the most joyful on your wedding day  ::  We would say it was the time we spent reading our vows to one another. We were surrounded by loved ones, but it still felt private and special.

How’s married life been so far  ::  Married life is grand. It feels calming. Grounding in an unexpected way. Introducing each other as Wife and Husband is still taking some getting used to, but it’s fun.

One word that best describes your wedding day  ::  Ours. The day was completely our own. The venue was perfectly suited for us. Our friend married us. We wrote our own vows. We had a hand in the music, food and drink. We were a part of every decision together. And we paid for the whole thing ourselves. We were united on all fronts. The day was and will forever be ours, and it was the ideal way to begin our marriage.

What advice would you give to future brides/grooms for their day  ::  Have a first look! It’s worth it. We were a blubbery mess during ours, so it’s best to get that out of the way. ALSO, we read our vows to each other in private during our first look. It took a lot of the nerves away when we actually made it down the aisle, and it probably made them even more special to us.
