Ivy Hall at Roswell Mill Wedding :: Joanna + Jon :: with Jennifer

We are SO excited to share Joanna + Jon’s wedding highlights with you!  There’s so much we could say about these two and their best day ever… but we think Joanna says it best:

“Our wedding was held at the same place we met! Jon was teaching a photography class at the picnic tables at the park and I was attending the class. Jennifer took a picture of us at the exact spot we first placed eyes on each other!

“We had a special guest, Marshall, who wrote poems on a typewriter for our guests. Marshall was actually a young man I met on my bachelorette party in Asheville, NC. My girlfriends and I all got poems by him and they were amazing. We were so impressed with his talent and then he mentioned he was moving to Atlanta so I asked if he would be interested in working at my wedding; and he said yes!”

What’s the one moment you remember, above all, about your wedding day?  What made it feel so special/memorable?
“We both agreed that our favorite moment was the very brief moment we had along, outside of the venue right before our reception, as they prepared to announce the wedding party. I had not seen the space all set up yet, so we got announced and when we entered the space I was completely overjoyed – the flowers were more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined and all of our friends and family were there cheering for us – that was the moment that made the wedding planning all worth it!”

What did you love most about your photographer?
“Jennifer was amazing! She had such a great personality – she made me feel comfortable very quickly and I really felt I could trust her to capture great pictures and also keep us on schedule. It was so fun seeing her getting excited when she got a great shot.”
