Jekyll Island Engagement Shoot :: Marci + Eric :: with Shain

Eric + Marci are college sweethearts though, technically, they’ve been walking through life together since preschool!!  We’re SO excited for their March wedding and, of course, we had to get together sooner to capture them in this sweet season of engagement.  Shain met them on Jekyll Island and we are in LOVE with these two!!

Their love story:

“Eric and I grew up together our entire lives! We attended preschool together and ended up graduating high school together. We had always remained friends in school showing no love interest towards one another. However, after many lessons learned and toughing it out through break ups we ended up talking to one another as we had many other times, about our problems. I had gone through a break up the same week he bravely asked me to attend a wedding with him. At the time he did not know I was not dating the guy I had been. This was funny to me because I always would ask why would I have come if I had been dating someone else. We did go to the wedding as friends, but at the end of the night he expressed his feelings towards me which he says he had felt for quite some time. However, I was always in a relationship. At first, I thought it was a joke, but every weekend after that we hung out and the rest is history. 1 year later he purposed on that 2nd Saturday in March at Sunset during a mountain getaway to Bryson City, North Carolina. It all worked out perfectly! He had been planning the proposal two weeks ahead of time. He even had taken my Daddy out to lunch to ask for my hand in marriage. This meant the world to me! I was surprised, to say the least, but I would not have it any other way. I truly am marrying my best friend!”
