Jessie + Chris :: A Bright and Vibrant Southern Wedding at the 173 Carlyle House :: Norcross, GA

Jessie + Chris were married at Perimeter Church in metro Atlanta, followed by a beautiful reception at the absolutely charming and quaint 173 Carlyle House in downtown historical Norcross, GA. Jessie and Chris met while attending Furman University, and we love the thoughtfulness of the way Chris proposed to Jessie – here it is, in Jessie’s words: “A few weeks later I came back to my dorm room and saw an apple on my desk with a poem on the stem asking me on a date. Fast forward to October of 2011 (three and a half years later) and as we are apple picking he climbs the small tree and “finds” a good apple (he had a small one in his pocket already). He hands the apple down to me and there is a note on it that says “will you marry me?” It was a beautiful fall day in Elijay, GA. I was impressed he remembered the apple thing several years later!” This same attention to sweet little details was evident in all aspects of their wedding day: from the BMW groom’s cake to the tables marked by countries to the precious handmade “Thank You” sign that they used in photos to later send to their guests (we always love this at OLAS!). The vibrant colors in this wedding are stunning – the navy bridesmaids dresses are always a classic, and the colors positively popped in Jessie’s unbelievable bouquet. We sent our southeast photography team out to capture the whole event, and we are loving the final result – we’re swooning over the Tiffany blue color palette in the getting ready photos that so perfectly capture those special, anticipation-filled moments preparing before the walk down the aisle, and we also LOVE the excitement and love captured on Chris’ face when he sees his beautiful bride for the first time. Carlyle House proved to be a beautiful location for the reception, and the location exudes a Southern charm that we love (check out the shot of Carlyle House at dusk below – gorgeous!).
