Blake + Ben met on the day that she had an interview at the company where Ben worked. Apparently Ben had a custom of staring down the interviewees on their walk to the manager’s office; typically people would avoid eye contact out of awkwardness, but Blake stared right back at him with a big grin on her face. From that point on Ben knew that Blake was something special. Luckily Blake got the job and they started flirting at work which eventually led to them seeing each other outside of work, and ultimately dating!
Their wedding at Pine Isle Point on Lake Lanier was very natural, earthy, and completely romantic. The venue featured gently rolling landscape and superb panoramas that enhanced the sense of being a “world away” on their special day!
We had the opportunity to hear from Blake after the wedding to ask her what their favorite moments of the day were…
Q: Tell us about your wedding! How would you describe the overall vibe/feeling of your day?
A: “It was like a dream. It went by in a flash, and I only remember tiny clips, but it was all perfect, like being on a cloud.”
Q: Is there a moment that stands out above the rest, now that you’ve been married for a few weeks?
A: “Standing at the altar, anxiously having to hold back from kissing Ben.”
Q: What does it feel like to finally be married?
A: “To be honest, it doesn’t feel that different yet. We lived together in our apartment already, and we haven’t found a house yet. I would say if anything, little arguments dissipate much more quickly because we know we love each other and are committed to each other. I think the feeling of being married will settle in over time… or when the name change is finalized.”
