Madison, CT Wedding at Barberry Hill Farm :: Priya + Matt :: With Lisa

Priya + Matt have dated for over seven years after meeting while snowboarding! At the time Matt was a professional snowboarder and Priya was teaching snowboarding so they already had a lot in common. After dating for a little bit they found even more commonalities, such as their love for the environment and of course their love for each other!

Priya + Matt just got married at Barberry Hill Farm, the perfect outdoor location for these nature lovers. Their ceremony featured many traditional Indian rituals that made this day full of culture and excitement. We just love how beautiful the henna looks on the entire bridal party!

We were able to talk to Priya and ask her some questions about their special day…

Q: Tell me about your wedding day… how did it feel for the day to finally arrive and to see all of your planning come together? 

A: “The two weeks leading up to the wedding were a whirlwind. Because my (now) husband and I live on the west coast, and our wedding was in my hometown in Connecticut, there were millions of things that I had to do that needed to wait until I got home 2 weeks prior to the wedding. There was so much laughter and chaos, but it was the best. And we wouldn’t have had it any other way.”

Q: What did you love most about your photographer?

A: “The wedding photographer was great. She was right there in the mix of things, in the middle of the chaos, and maintained a cool and calm attitude. I almost didn’t know she was there which to me was perfect. I am very happy with her.”

Q: What did it feel like to finally be married?

A: “Being married… is awesome. The ceremony, having friends and family around, made us feel like we were part of something bigger. And I know we still feel like that now.”
