Jessica + David met through a mutual friend who is now the Maid of Honor! After they met they fell for each other quickly and spent as much time together as possible. When David proposed he tricked Jessica into thinking that they were just going for a walk around the woods and he completely surprised her when he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!
The Emerald Room at Wickham Park was such a perfect fit for their charming garden wedding. This day was the perfect combination of intimate and spectacular and we just don’t know how it could have been more romantic!! We truly thought this day was wonderful and we recently talked to Jessica to hear what some of their favorite moments and memories about their best day ever…
Q: Tell us about your wedding! How would you describe the overall vibe/feeling of your day? Anything special that you planned and couldn’t wait to see come together?
A: “I felt like my wedding day was perfect! I was anxious in the beginning (like I’m sure everyone is) but shortly felt blissful for the entire night. I planned everything myself with only 3/4 months so it was exciting to see all my hard work to fall into place. It was exciting and sometimes funny to see my loved ones so emotional because I don’t always get to see that side of people. I handled the whole day leading up to everything pretty well, I was actually talking everyone else into relaxing haha then once I saw my dad right before walking down the aisle is when I started to cry. Something both my husband and I were really excited for was the cake! That was the first thing we planned and the first consult I called and scheduled. I felt like it was a personal touch mixing both our passions into one having a creative/personalized cake.”
Q: Is there a moment that stands out above the rest, now that you’ve been married for a few weeks?
A: “When I think back to parts of my wedding the first thing that comes to mind is sitting at my sweetheart table with David by my side and just looking out at all our guests at their tables and the dance floor. Then my brain jumps to how difficult it was to dance in that dress!”
Q: What’s your favorite thing that you decided to include or spend money on?
A: “The photo booth was a huge hit and very fun. My DJ provided it and it was the nicest I’ve ever seen compared to seeing photo booths at other events/weddings.”
Q: What did you love most about working with OLAS?
A: “I loved that everyone I dealt with was very professional and having a lot planned out already so I felt like I didn’t have a lot of work to do. Not that I had many questions, but when I did I found it easy to get a hold of someone, so I felt your customer service aspect was very nice.”
Q: What does it feel like to finally be married?
A: “We have been living together for over a year prior to marriage, so not a drastic change. I do definitely feel a little difference, the first few days we joked a ton to kind of help things go back to normal and not be so serious, but I definitely feel a little closer and more secure about my future. David works second shift so I don’t get to see him as often as I’d like and today he called me at work (where he knows I usually can’t even answer texts because I’m always super busy) just to tell me he misses me, so the “honeymoon phase” is still definitely there over a month in!”
Congratulations Jessica + David!! xoxo, The OLAS Team
