Montauk Yacht Club Wedding :: Victoria + Chris :: with Bethany

Every wedding we shoot is a dream come true but Victoria + Chris’s Montauk wedding at the Montauk Yacht Club was absolutely magical.  Their friends & family celebrated them like crazy and while the emotion was high it was so full of JOY!  From the ceremony to the toasts and then the dancing at the reception… every single moment was pure bliss.  Here’s how Victoria remembers their best day ever…

“We chose Montauk because we both enjoy being by the ocean and share a mutual love for lighthouses. Montauk was one of the first places that Chris and I went on vacation together and one of the very first stops out there that was not just the beach but driving out to the lighthouse. We loved the low key atmosphere of the town and when it came time to picking a venue for our wedding, we felt it just fit both of us and our relationship so well.

As the wedding weekend approached we were both filled a variety of emotions. The obvious stress of the big day was weighing on us a bit, and the delayed spring and week of snowstorm definitely didn’t help. However, when the actual day arrived, we both felt quite calm and tried to be in the moment as much as possible. I remember a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders as the sky cleared and the sun peeked out, just as we were about to start taking our photos. Even though it was chilly, the cool grays and blues of the sky seemed to perfectly compliment our seaside venue. As the day wore on I remember being a tad bit emotional and nervous as I was about to walk down the aisle, but the minute I reached Chris at the end of it, he kept me laughing, smiling and feeling so at ease the rest of the day. If we could relive anything it would definitely be dancing the night away to the music from our kick-ass band. We both woke up the next day with blisters and sore legs and feet from all the boogying. It truly was the perfect day and start to our new life together.”

Congratulations, Victoria + Chris!!  xoxo, The OLAS Team
