Sarah + Georgiy’s Park Tavern wedding in Atlanta, GA was like a deep breath of fresh, Southern air! WOW!! These two are electric together and, after ten years of partnership, they’re finally married and we’re so grateful to have been there to capture it! Tyler captured some of the most gorgeous photos of these two… scroll down to see what we’re talkin’ about!
Tell us about your wedding day! What did it feel like to see all of your planning come together?
To sum it up in one word – “perfect.” Everything from the weather to the flowers to the cake turned out better than we could have imagined. We really enjoyed seeing all of our hard work for the past year and a half of planning come together just as we wanted it to.
Is there a moment you remember, above all, about your wedding day?
The thing that stood out to us the most was the grand exit in which we used sparklers. We remember being slightly terrified that we would catch on fire but it was so much fun seeing all of our close family and friends holding sparklers and cheering as we walked through. This was the perfect way to end the perfect day and every time we think about it all we can see are their smiling faces.
What did you love most about your photographer?
We loved working with Tyler! He has a very specific vision and style for how he approaches the day which we found helpful since we are not the most creative. He gives good direction and is a pleasure to work with. Tyler and our videographer Vahe worked very well together to coordinate shots and both made us feel so comfortable.
Did you include any heirlooms or special items in your wedding day?
I wore my Grandmother’s pearl necklace and bracelet on my wedding day (my sister wore the same pearl necklace and bracelet when she got married). It was very special to me that she wanted us to wear her pearls and I know it brought her so much joy. We also had an “in remembrance table” for our grandparents who passed before they could see our special day. I know they were looking down on us and it was nice to have them be a part of our wedding.
What did it feel like to finally be married?
We have been together for about ten and a half years so when we finally got engaged, we did not think that it would feel any different to be married. Now that we are married, we can honestly say that we were so wrong. It feels so special that we can now introduce ourselves as husband and wife and I am so glad we have all the memories from our wedding day to reflect on.
Congratulations, Sarah + Georgiy!! xoxo, The OLAS Team
