Kelly + Matt had the most fun engagement session! We love when our couples include hobbies or elements of their lifestyle into an engagement shoot. (We’re also big fans of letting the wind blow through your hair by a waterfront!) Just as much, we’re in LOVE with their portraits in the woods. So, so dreamy! We can’t wait for their wedding next year!
How did you and your partner meet? How long have you been together?
We met through family and we only saw each other in person five times before I picked up and moved from the suburbs of Detroit to Plymouth, Massachusetts!
Plymouth is a special town for both of us and that is why we chose to be married here! Matt grew up in Plymouth and always knew that this is where he wanted to settle. I am a Mayflower descendant and my grandfather grew up here! From the downtown area to the ocean to the history, we knew it was the perfect town to settle down and start our life together!
How do you most love to spend your time together?
We love traveling, exploring, and eating! This past Thanksgiving we stumbled across the Appalachian Trail when visiting Georgia and we love being outside hiking and smelling the pure clean air! We also love visiting Boston and exploring Fenway or the Freedom Trail. On our first date, Matt took me to Castle Island so I could see the stars over the perfectly lit up Boston skyline. It was amazing to see!
In regards to food, we will always have the pizza debate. Chicago (where I grew up) is famous for the deep dish, Detroit is famous for the square pan pizza, and Boston… well when I found out Matt folded his pizza I almost booked a ticket back to Michigan!! 🙂
How are you staying connected during the wedding planning process?
