“Eric and I met online after I had moved to Virginia to be near family. We met in person a little over a month after I moved back, I’ve never really believed in fate or destiny, but now it seems more possible. We just clicked right away, like we had known each other forever. From our first date on we were always together and decided to become exclusive pretty quickly. Eric proposed a few days before our second dating anniversary. He took me for a hike to go birdwatching, one of the activities I love to do. He had gotten me binoculars and a bird book. In the bird book he had marked birds he wanted to see, which we didn’t see any haha. The last marked page was a picture of us where he had called us the Virginia lovebirds and done a whole description of us and our story. It was the perfect proposal and it was just us!”
