For Laura + Timothy, the most important thing about their wedding day was to have their friends and family there with them, and make it feel like a mini vacation! They decided to hold the entire event at the Inn at Half Mile Farm in Highlands, North Carolina, which was the perfect location not only because most of their family and bridal party could stay there with them for the weekend, but also because it reflected their deep love of the mountains! The vibe at L + T’s wedding was comfortable & casual, but also very elegant. Laura did a beautiful job of planning the decor in all neutrals, letting the different textures do the talking. She and her Mom collected decor items made of mercury glass for a year leading up to the wedding, and when combined with all of those beautiful monochromatically paired flowers, the results were so sophisticated & beautiful. We sent our always amazing southeast photographer, Nikki, up to North Carolina for the big day, and she did such an incredible job capturing all of the love and joy surrounding L + T. We could go on and on talking about the gorgeous details of their wedding, but we just adore their proposal story too much not to include a little smidgeon of it as well! 😉
“In March 2012 we bought our dream house… a 100 year old bungalow with a huge front porch. In August 2012 we were sitting on the front porch swing talking about how blessed we were. We both have great jobs and great families and a house and each other and we try to not ever lose sight of that… That’s when he looked at me and said “but you know what would make tonight even better?” and got down on one knee!!! I could have fainted!”
L+T, we have absolutely loved getting to know the two of you and couldn’t be happier to have you as a part of our (once like a spark) family. We hope you adore your wedding sneak peek – we can’t wait to share the rest with you super soon! xoxo!
