Michelle + Eric were married on a beautiful fall day in late October at one of our very favorite places – Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia. M + E’s wedding is chock full of gorgeous and personal touches – not only did they incorporate an intimate ring warming ceremony (they invited each guest to hold their rings before taking a seat at the start of the ceremony and say a blessing for the couple), but the pillow which held their rings is particularly meaningful. The ring pillow was made over 35 years ago from scraps of Eric’s grandmother’s wedding dress, and it was originally intended to be used during Eric’s parents wedding. However, the ringbearer fell ill, and the pillow was never used. Fast forward more than three decades, and sweet M + E surprised Eric’s grandmother by using the pillow at their own wedding – how powerful is that?! We are absolutely swooning over the stunning and emotional shots that our mid-Atlantic team captured, and the glowy late afternoon light during the ceremony is beyond dreamy. The shots of M + E exiting the ceremony through a veil of bubbles are some of our favorite favorites! Michelle + Eric, thank you SO much for inviting us to capture your stunning day, and we cannot wait to share with you the rest of your photos! xoxo
