Sneak Peek :: Patty + Mike's Modern Speakeasy Wedding at the Leftbank Annex in Portland, OR :: with Ashley + Kellen

Patty & Mike: literally, one of the coolest couples we know (and we know a LOT of amazingly cool couples here at once like a spark)! Their overall theme was modern-speakeasy, combining vintage furniture, empty glass liquor bottles and antique dishware, all set amongst the modern warehouse at the Leftbank Annex. They incorporated so many personal & unique details into their big day, our favorite being the fact that they tried to represent all the time they spent together in Portland (where they first met), New York, London, and their many other recent travel adventures while living abroad. To name a few: first there are the custom robes made in Vietnam during P & M’s travels to southeast Asia for Patty’s bridesmaids & Mom to wear while getting ready, a breathtakingly intricate wedding dress purchased & designed in London (where P & M have lived for the past 2 years), specialty cocktails for the bride & groom representing their time in New York (Patty’s drink is a Lemon Hi – sake, perrier, and fresh squeezed lemon from her favorite divey sake bar in NY), the Portland food trucks Scoop Icecream and The Pie Spot for dessert, and last but certainly not least — the invitations that doubled as handkerchiefs representing all of the above! Our Portland, Oregon husband & wife duo, Ashley & Kellen, couldn’t have been a more perfect fit to photograph Patty & Mike’s big day.
