Ahhhh, Mary Beth + Matt’s wedding photos are here and we’re so thrilled to share a few!! The Cotton Warehouse in Monroe, GA is one of our favorite Southern venues – classy, beautiful, rustic, and charming. This wedding was all of those things! From the whimsical florals to the modern table decor, every detail brought the whole vision to life.We caught up with Mary Beth and asked her about their best day ever…How would you describe your wedding day to a friend? How did you feel, what was it like to see all of your planning come together, etc.?
Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. There was something so magical about seeing all of the decisions from our planning come together and create such a perfect day. We had the time of our lives celebrating with those we love most. It was a representation of us and we were so happy.
What’s the one moment you remember, above all, about your wedding day? What made it feel so special/memorable?
It seems so silly, but it was raining after our ceremony and we were taking photos. Matt kept picking the bottom of my dress up to keep it dry. He knew how much I loved my dress and how stressed I had been about it being perfect. It was such a small thing, but it felt like a pure, sweet symbol of his love for me in the middle of a crazy, whirlwind day.
What did you love most about your photographer?
Nikki was absolutely amazing. She was so in tune with the vision for our day. It started pouring down rain after our ceremony and she stood in the rain under an umbrella to capture our photos. She was go-with-the-flow all day and did a great job keeping me calm. We love her!
Did you include any heirlooms or special items in your wedding day? What made you decide to include it/them?
I had two pins on my bouquet made of a shirt and a tie from both of my grandfathers, who are no longer with us. Matt also had his grandfathers old watch in his pocket. It felt really special to include them, because they were huge parts of our lives and we know they would have been thrilled.
What did it feel like to finally be married?
It was the best feeling ever! We had been anxiously waiting for that moment for so long, and it was so exciting to finally get to call myself Matt’s wife. I couldn’t stop looking at his ring all night!
