If you could sum up your wedding day in one word, what would it be?

Perfect! I know it’s super cliche to say, but it truly was perfect. It was the best night of our lives and it was more than I could have ever imagined! Jahmal wasn’t involved in the planning, so everything was a surprise for him. He was so excited to see all of his family there for us and had no idea how much fun weddings are!

What’s the one moment you remember, above all, about your wedding day? What made it feel so special/memorable?

The ceremony. It was so special to us because we wrote our own vows.. and they were so similar to each other!! We basically said the same things but in our own way. I loved being able to share that moment in front of the most important people in our lives.

What did you love most about your photographer?

I loved how laid back [Greta] was. She made everything seem so easy and natural, which is exactly what I was going for. She also shares the same name as my niece and her parent’s names are the same as my parents!

What did it feel like to see your future spouse for the first time on your wedding day?

It was so fun!! I loved getting to see Jahmal before walking down the aisle. He looked so handsome! I also loved his reaction to seeing me in my dress. He thought I would be wearing a totally different style dress, so I loved being able to surprise him! I’m so thankful for the first look, it was so special!
