Trinity River Audubon Center Wedding in Dallas, TX :: Allie + Spencer :: with Christine

What an honor to post these special photos of Allie + Spencer’s perfect day at the Trinity Audubon Center in Dallas, TX!  Some loves are just so easy, so tender, and so steadfast that capturing it, and doing it any justice, is both the best and most difficult task.  We can’t say it better than Allie did as we caught up with her after the wedding…
OLAS: What’s the one moment you remember, above all, about your wedding day? What made it feel so special/memorable?
Allie: There are a million things I could put here – I hope I never forget a single memory that I have from that night. The end of the evening came as a total shock to Spencer and I, we were too busy dancing and laughing with our family and friends to notice the time slip away. As we shared our last private dance and made our way out of the reception area, we were overwhelmed by cheers and the glittering of sparklers. Being surrounded by the excitement and happiness that everyone shared for us was the perfect way to end the evening that neither of us wanted to be over.
OLAS: Did you include any heirlooms or special items in your wedding day? What made you decide to include it/them?
Allie: I had a few things that were incredibly important to me that day. Just before the wedding, my mom and I took her wedding dress out of the box (the first time she’d opened it in 30 YEARS) and I was able to try it on – perfect fit! We cut the lace trim at the end of her train and wrapped it around my bouquet as my “something old”. Holding a physical representation of the vows my parents made so long ago as I walked down the aisle was an incredible experience, to say the least. I was also able to wear (borrow) the pearl-drop necklace I’d admired so much as a little girl. It had been my late grandmother’s, and unfortunately, my grandfather (her husband of 60 years) passed away a month before the wedding. Having so many physical representations of the generations of love my family has shared gave an amazing perspective on the day that Spencer and I shared.
OLAS: What did it feel like to see your future spouse for the first time on your wedding day?
Allie: Seeing Spencer, and the look on his face when he saw me, is something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. The moment he turned around, it was as if a huge wave of love, support, happiness, and calm flooded over both of us. I’ve never felt so sure of anything in my life! I can hardly describe it, but I hope it’s something that everyone gets to experience in their lifetime.
OLAS: What did you love most about your photographer?
Allie: We absolutely loved Christine! Getting to know her during the engagement photo shoot was such a blast, and really helped us feel comfortable with her on our big day. Christine was always open to creative suggestion and did her best to match any creative inspiration provided to her. I think she fully understood and captured the photographic style we were hoping for.
Allie + Spencer: Thank you for inviting us into your love story and allowing us to capture these special moments for you!  We wish you all the love and light in the world!
xoxo, the OLAS team
