Two Brothers Roundhouse Wedding in Aurora, IL :: Jason + Julie :: with Isaac

We are SO excited to share a few photos from Jason + Julie’s wedding!  Their day was nothing short of romantic, magical, and emotional!  The florals and colors were as rich as the love these two clearly share.  We got a chance to catch up with Jason and reminisce about his favorite moments and what it’s like to finally be married…

Tell us about your wedding!  How would you describe the overall vibe/feeling of your day?  Anything special that you planned and couldn’t wait to see come together?

It was an amazing day!  I mean, everyone says that, but it was great.  We had one of Julie’s cousins who is an award-winning bagpiper play us out (in full regalia!) after we said our vows and it was really impressive. Our biggest goal was to throw an amazing party for our guests, and I think the packed dance floor proved we succeeded!

Is there a moment that stands out above the rest, now that you’ve been married for a few weeks?
There’s so many.  For me, I’ll never forget standing across the aisle from Julie and just staring at her grinning like the happiest idiot on Earth as our officiant read the vows.

What’s your favorite thing that you decided to include or spend money on?

We decided to get a photobooth with crazy props and it was universally loved.  Anything to get more pictures is great and it let us see a wacky (maybe “even wackier”) side of the guests that we probably wouldn’t have otherwise. We also splurged on the flowers, which really ended up pulling all our decorations together and making our reception look great.

What did you love most about working with OLAS?

You know what you’re doing!  Helping (some might say forcing) us to develop a detailed timeline really just helped the whole day go smoothly.

How, if at all, are you incorporating elements from your wedding into your home or everyday life?  Anything special that you’re excited to keep for years to come?

We had our guests sign an artwork with little peacock feathers that we’re hoping to hang on our wall.  And we have plenty of favors left over–we got custom engraved beer tasting glasses (that Julie created the art for herself) that we’ll get to have for parties or general around-the-house beer tasting use.

What does it feel like to finally be married?

Kind of unreal!   We’ve been looking forward to it for so long (5 years long distance) that to have it here is almost unbelievable.  We have still been living long-distance since the wedding while I finish up my military training but we’re finally about to move in together. I think then it will sink in as we really start living our lives in the same place and as the holidays roll in.

Congratulations, Jason + Julie!! xoxo, The OLAS Team
