Waterford, CT Engagement Shoot at Harkness State Park :: Katie + Troy :: With Lauryn

Katie + Troy met when they were both working at a local credit union. While working together they never attempted to start a relationship, but when Troy got a promotion and moved branches Katie took a leap of faith and decided to ask him out! Putting herself out there paid off because these two have been together for over 4 years now!

Their engagement photos around Harkness State Park were so adorable! We got to talk to Katie and ask her more about their life together and their wedding plans…

Q: Is there a moment in your dating history that stands out above the rest?  

A: “Troy and I have had the pleasure of getting to travel to a number of different places together. We have gone to Mexico, Canada, Ireland, and a number of other places. Traveling and getting to experience different places together have been our favorite moments in our relationship.”

Q: What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?  

A: “We are most looking forward to just enjoying the day with our families and sharing our love with everyone.”

Q: Any tips for other engaged brides who are hiring their vendors or starting the planning process?

A: “You have to feel 100% comfortable and confident or you’ll always second guess yourself. And enjoy yourself. Though this is a stressful time try not to let it be. Be true to yourselves and what you love and have fun!”
