Woolford Gardens Engagement Session :: Paige + Walker :: with Jen

In the fall semester of my senior year, I was on the job hunt for after graduation. A family friend connected me with Walker’s dad (also named Walker), who was looking for someone to replace his longtime employee who was leaving to take care of her family after having her second baby. We met for breakfast while I was in Atlanta for another job interview, and he told me he would love for me to be a part of the team after I graduated. I came into the office during my Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays to meet the team… including my future fiance, who also works for his dad!

I started the job in June right after I graduated and Walker and I did not have an instant connection. He’s much shyer than I, so it took him a while to warm up to me. I moved out of my parents house and into an apartment complex in Buckhead with my friend, and it just happened to be the same complex Walker lived in. We had to go to a conference in Milwaukee in July, and with some forced quality time together, we struck up a friendship. 🙂

We started to hang out more as friends and I guess the rest is history! Friendship turned into romance and that turned into a lasting relationship. I’m so happy we found each other and I couldn’t imagine someone more perfect for me. We truly balance each other out… I am definitely a true Leo, strong-headed and outgoing; he is more introverted and thoughtful.

I can report that we no longer work together, I moved on to another job after about 6 months. 🙂

Walker proposed on a boat in the middle of the lake while we were up at my parents’ lakehouse, one of our favorite shared places. It was such a special moment when the two of us were on the boat along together, but then he had arranged for our family and friends to meet us afterwards for a little party. It was the perfect combination.

We’re already ready for our wedding day to get here next October!”
